| Boxed, 1980's West Germany FB Record (BARTHELMS, FRITZ) Record Jumbo .177 Calibre 'Top Lever' Air Pistol With Milbro .177 Calibre Pellet Tin Containing A Quantity Of Lead Pellets. AI 670 - AI 670 The Company FB Record was founded by Fritz Barthelms in 1948. Production of airguns began in the late 1960s. In the 1980s, the Record brand began to include more substantial and interesting air pistols. The strangely named Jumbo features one of the most interesting mechanisms in the airgun field, a very compact concentric piston design with 'top lever' cocking action. This is a very good fully functioning example of the Record Jumbo. Its metal work retains its original finish. It has chequered wood grips. The pistol is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'FB Record', 'Cal .177' and 'Made In West Germany'. The pistol has a safety catch to the left side of the frame and it loads and fires as it should. The pistol is complete with its original green cardboard box sleeve with' FB Record Jumbo' detail and contoured polystyrene box with removable lid which snugly fits the pistol. Also included is a milbro pellet tin which contains a quantity of .177 calibre waisted lead pellets and the pistol's original illustrated pamphlet. The price includes UK delivery. | Boxed, Post 1950's, West German Gerstenberger & Eberwein, EM-GE Model LP3a, .22 Calibre 'Break Action' Air Pistol With Cocking Aid & Other Accessories. Sn 17504 - 17504 This is a very good, boxed, Em-Ge model LP3a, made in Germany by Gerstenberger & Eberwein. (The pre-WW2 name of this company was Moritz & Gerstenberger, the brand name 'Em-Ge' is the German pronuciation of the old initials 'M' and 'G.'). These pistols were made from the mid 1950's until sometime into the late 1970's/ early 80's and had a reputation for excellent workmanship and finish. It is break action with adjustable rear target sight & blade foresight. It retains its original blue finish which has just small areas of light scuffs to be expected with age and use. It has undamaged brown plastic contoured target grips figured for right hand shooter. The pistol measures 12 ½' overall & has a 6' rifled barrel. The left side of the weapon is crisply marked by the manufacturer 'EM-GE Gerstenberger u Eberwein' together with 'Mod LP3a Made In Western Germany'. The left side of the barrel block is stamped 'Cal 5.5mm' (.22) the right side, serial number '50184'. The pistol cocks, loads and fires as it should. The pistol has its original foam box with removable lid which has embossed manufacturer information and EM-GE labelled cardboard sleeve. The box has compartments to fit the pistol and its accessories which consist of its original plastic and brass ball cocking aid helpful because of the short barrel and exposed front sight, plastic bottle of gun oil, screwdriver and cleaning brush. | VERY RARE, ALL MATCHING NUMBERS, British 1921-1930 Lincoln Jeffries 'Lincoln' .177 Calibre 'Break Action' Air Pistol. Sn 17371 - 17371 This is a very good fully functioning example of the Lincoln Jeffries 'Lincoln' .177 Calibre Air Pistol. These Air pistols were produced between 1921-1930 and are very rare (see pages 108-110 of A Collector's Guide To Air Pistols By Hiller). It has the correct all metal construction. It has fixed sights. The pistol's 'break action' thumb operated barrel release catch & cocking mechanism with spring in the cylinder which forms the grip is nice & strong & it shoots as it should. It has a 9' rifled barrel stepped towards the breech (11 ½' overall). The left side of the frame is crisply stamped 'Best English Make'. The top of the barrel block is correctly marked 'The Lincoln Air Pistol'. The frame has patent number ‘Pat No 181277' and is numbered ‘1075' which is repeated on the cylinder butt. ‘75' is stamped on the trigger. | MINT, First Post War, Boxed, Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air Pistol With Brown Grips. Sn 17328:4 - 17328:4 Characteristics of first post war Senior models include Webley name on brown Bakelite stock plates, knurled barrel section and bright metal trigger. Also Birmingham area numbers and reference to individual patents were later removed (see Page 82 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). This is a near mint Webley Senior .22 Calibre Air pistol made early post war. It is undamaged with brown Webley roundel bakelite grips. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Senior Made In England' together with 'oil' and arrow indicator pointing to the oil hole located on top of the cylinder all highlighted in white. The right side is stamped 'Webley & Scott Ltd, Birmingham 4' and 'Webley Patents'. The forward barrel block is stamped '.22' calibre & the front of the cylinder stamped with number '984'. It has a blade foresight, adjustable rear sight and it cocks and fires as it should. Sn 15663:19 - 15663:19 Post WW2 Junior Series 2 air pistol's had shorter barrels than the pre war Series 1 Juniors. They also has plastic stock plates rather than tin stock plates which were fitted to 1st Series pistols. This is a boxed Webley Junior Series 2 .177 Calibre Air pistol (see page 96 of Webley Air Pistols by Bruce). It is undamaged with original finish which has some rubbing to the finish on one side. It has the correct black plastic grips with embossed Webley logos. The left side of the cylinder is stamped 'The Webley Junior .177 Webley & Scott Ltd Birmingham Made In England'. The left side of the frame has an ‘A' factory Inspector's mark which is one of the factory inspection marks that have been noted on these pistols (see page 51 of Bruce's book). The front of the cylinder is stamped with serial / batch number '1826'. It has a blade foresight, adjustable rear sight and it cocks & fires as it should. It is contained in its original Orange background Webley labelled cardboard box with vivid Webley pistol imagery, Junior model detail and Webley's Birmingham 21 address. | SOLD SOLD (21/07) **WORLD'S SMALLEST* 1927-1935, German, Venus Waffenfabrik Tell II .177 Calibre Break Action Tin Plate Air Pistol. Sn 15663:18 - 15663:18 Venus Waffenfabrik of Mehlis Germany produced the Tell II Air pistol between 1927 & 1935. It is made of tin plate and measured 5 ½' overall length. It was advertised as 'The World's smallest spring piston Air Pistol' (see pages 157 & 158 of The Collectors Guide To Air Pistols by Hiller). Its unique concentric design made it the Father of several full size Air Pistols. Before cocking the pistol, a lever is swung out from the rear of the grip to afford mechanical advantage while cocking is performed. The Pistols were only made in No 1 Bore/ .177 calibre. This Tell II .177 Air pistol is in very good condition, fully functioning with original blue finish which is rubbed in areas. Its original flat chequered wood grips are undamaged. The top of the compression cylinder is correctly stamped by the manufacturer 'D.R.G.M Tell II D.R.P' including the Venus Waffenfabrik factory combined 'V & W ' trade mark. | 1950 To 1955 West German Koma Werk LDP4 (Voere) Break Action .177 Calibre Air Pistol. Sn 17180 - 17180 This break-barrel pistol is identical to the Voere LDP4, and can only be distinguished from it by the impressed logo on the grip. The Koma was made by Koma Werk, West Germany, from about 1950 up to1955, when the company underwent a name change and the trademark Voere was introduced. The renamed air pistol was then sold up to about 1970. This is an original Koma Werk LDP4 air pistol. It has correct large frame wood stock with chequered ‘Koma' logo panels indicating manufacture between 1950 and 1955. The varnished wood is undamaged. Correctly there are no other maker or date marks on this pistol. It has a 5' blued barrel and cylinder (13 ¾' overall length). It has a post fore sight and adjustable rear sight. From what I've read this was one of the first CO2 powered pistols to hit the market and was quite popular in its time. Otherwise I know nothing about it and have fired only one shot through it. I've heard that shooting air pistol is one of the best training tools there is because your trigger control and follow through are critical to the shot landing where you aimed it. Hopefully a bit of practice with this will see my other scores improve
